Across Ikaiguchi, there are countless creation myths, but the story of the serpents is the one that most know. It tells of the Ever Serpent, Eien-Hebi, and her struggle with the Devourer, Musaborikuu.

Kūsho Shinzō
It is fortunate that Kūsho Shinzō is blind, for its sight would encompass all of Ikaiguchi. This great mountain towers over the center of the island, a landmark for the lost. Even so, its gray flanks show no hint of the wonder inside.
Chika-Rin
They say that Ikaiguchi is built upon its own secrets, but nowhere makes this as clear as Chika-Rin. Seen only through fissures in a barren plane, this immense underground forest flourishes below Ikaiguchi, and none know its true extent.
Tsurunoya
Inside the towering beauty of the Crane House reside the Order of Cranes, an inscrutable group both ancient and powerful.
Ronin
The wandering, masterless ronin are soldiers of fortune and mercenaries for hire that were once samurai of one of the seven great clans. While some still fight for honor, others are no better than brigands.
Daimyo
The ancient position of Daimyo predates even the legendary Shin’rei. Over such a long time, the term has taken on many meanings.
The Rhythm
A beat that comes at night, driving away the wolves at the door. A sweet rhythm that voids the soul. To those in despair comes the Rhythm.
Kinomama Glade
The Yasei revere life in all its forms. When the oldest trees begin to rot and decay, they retain that life, transforming them into carved shrines.
Spirit Keepers
Spirit Keepers are reliquaries of heroes, binding their spirits within a pseudo-body of their personal effects. Spirits do not survive this process unchanged.
The Order of Cranes
Each member of the Order of Cranes is an advisor, priest, historian, and warrior. Powerful alone, their strength is greater in numbers.
