The Honor Guard are especially selected Samurai who serve at the emperor’s leisure. Their legend is great, but today their loyalty is conflicted.

Hone no Jōsai

Inshinoakuma

Between mountain peaks, a green lake barely conceals immense statues. Hands, gasping jaws, and carved horns break the surface. Below, strange bodies fade into the dark.

Jobboko Ki

Sacred to the Yasei clan, this tree consumes all: root, man, or beast. Their carcasses can be seen protruding from the tree, lending the tree its dread reputation.

Yua Ikada

Yua Ikada is one of the Kanshu, the Grove Guardians of the Yasei, fierce warriors who defend the glades. Even among their ranks, though, she has never quite belonged.
