Kaede Oshiro

Yasei Archpriest of the Forest

Kaede Oshiro is the holiest of holy men amongst the woodland priests of the Mori no Sōryo, the Mori no dai Saishi, Arch-Priest of the Forest. He is revered as the wisest of the Yasei, and the longest lived of the clan. He is a man of peace, who lives a simple life of solitude within the great wildwood, giving his days over to tending to the welfare of all creatures within his realm, great or small.

Description

Kaede Oshiro is ageless. He wears simple garb, a cloak of leaves that trails the ground at his feet, boots, breeches and no more; preferring the feel of the air against his skin as he walks the forest. The cloak allows him to blend in effortlessly with his surroundings, making him virtually invisible to the naked eye. His long jet-black hair hangs loose around his shoulders. Muscles that defy his advanced age are corded and sheened with sweat. He carries a pouch of seeds at his hip where others carry swords and will sow them where he believes they will flourish.

Chosen Weapon

He wields a staff fashioned from a bough of the oldest tree in the wildwood, the end of which is hollowed out and carved into an elaborate cage, capable of containing the cold fire he summons to light his way in the darkness. His greatest weapon is kindness, his greatest gift the ability to find the good within everything.
