The Dark Age
The Golden Age was not to last long. Arashi, embittered by Akane’s adoration by humans, swept upon her temple, hurling the Shin’rei into combat that darkened the world..
The Golden Age
Following the triumph of the Shin’rei, peace was restored to the world. Humanity was resurgent, and sciences and the arts flourished. Mienai Yōsai, the emperor’s palace, was constructed.
Chichioya no Kao
The churning waters of the Hatogawa are the spiritual origins of the Aranami. At the mouth of the river, the faces of the Clan’s ancient founders gaze at one another for all eternity.
Kashinsha
At the center of the maze of blossoms, Kashinsha, the Blossom Temple, sits among the blooms. It offers a place of respite for the weary, and many seek out the maze at the hope of remaining in the temple.
The Final Battle
The Endless War of legend apparently raged until one thousand years before the Ritual of Iron Oak. As both sides began to gather together to destroy one another fully, the Shin’rei gathered together for one last battle.
Yabuna-shi is Destroyed
Part of the longest early text tells of the defenders of Yabuna-shi, one of the largest early settlements on Ikaiguchi, and their struggle with a monster.
The Tragedy of Chinami
At some point in ancient history, tidal waves swept the Hātokawa. Several early settlements were destroyed, including the temple-city of Yonataorei, now seen below the depths on a clear day.
The Birth of the Yasei
As conflict raged across Ikaiguchi, the natural world got caught in the crossfire. In the wake of the largest battles, wandering disciples planted trees and attempted to fix the world. These people would eventually become the Yasei.
The Kotoba
Following his battle and subsequent return, Tengoku Amare is said to have spent time among his followers, teaching them of the struggle between light and darkness, and his role in between. His teachings were recorded in the Kotoba.
