Three years into his scholarship, Renho stumbled across something deep within the vaults of Kūsho Shinzō, a chamber so deep it had not been opened in an age, and within it, forbidden knowledge that should have been locked away for all time for the good of the land. It tells of the Taimuītā, or as it is known to some, The Devourer, and of the mistbound loreguard Suzume, tethered to the mist realm of all eternity. Much of the scrolls have mouldered, the inks faded beyond reading, so the truth of this saga may never be fully understood. Renho cannot bear the thought of the truth of Taimuītā being lost forever, and will stop at nothing to recover the forbidden knowledge. He believes it is his destiny. But is that because of the voice he hears whispering in his mind?
Description
Renho is an older man, wrinkled and somber, who wears the robes of a scribe. His fingers are stained with all manner of inks from his work. At his waist, rather than any sort of weapon, he wears a belt with an array of quills, ink pens and other tools of his craft. But for those who get close to him, there can be no denying the haunted aspect of his eyes, for he has seen things no living soul was meant to see.
Chosen Weapon
The pen, which, as all of the Kioku save for the loreguard will attest, is more deadly than any blade for it cuts to the heart of the truth, no matter how dark, or how deadly.
