There is one among the sharpshooters of Ukigumo hailed as a legend, with an eye and accuracy beyond compare. She is Tansho, the Longseer, the most accomplished of their number, said to roam the mountains alone, defending the ancestral lands of the clan from would-be interlopers. Rarely seen among the mountain settlements, Tansho prefers her own company, though many trainees seek her out with the hope that she will impart her secrets to them.
It is said that she has claimed over five hundred kills over the last ten years, though how accurate that figure is remains up for debate as several mysterious deaths were often attributed to her, even if she was not the shooter. In times of war, people need to believe in heroes, and there is no doubting that Tansho Iwasa is just that.
Description
Dimunitive Tansho has a low center of gravity that serves her well as she scales the mountains of her hunting ground. She is fast, lithe, and capable of powerful leaps with feline grace. Her hair is knotted in twin plaits, ensuring none falls across her face. Tansho, above all, is a survivalist: she is clad in light furs for warmth and carries her home (a tent) on her back.
Chosen Weapon
Tansho wields a black powder musket of her own design capable of firing lead balls for enemies up to a mile distant.
